Happy Fifth Anniversary, Pittsburgh.
Five years ago, I moved from my parents house in Greensburg to start a new adventure with PULSE. I’d considered moving to Cleveland for graduate school, or North Carolina for a year of service.
Instead I found myself moving just an hour away, to live in a house with seven other incredible women in a big old house in the East End to volunteer and explore Pittsburgh. Since then, I’ve managed to stay within a mile and a half of that big old house, still working with nonprofits and still in love with the Steel City.
The traditional fifth anniversary gift is wood. How convenient that I work with Tree Pittsburgh! Our big benefit, Arbor Aid, is back September 26. Celebrate my 5th Burghiversary along the Allegheny River with me?
