Recent Press Clips – Tree Pittsburgh

For Tree Pittsburgh, I do it all. I serve as webmaster, marketing coordinator, social media manager, and press relations (and squirrel mascot wrangler, but that’s another story for another time).

This year’s press strategy was two-fold: to continue to emphasize the canopy loss reported in 2018, and to capitalize on any opportunities to feature the organization’s new energy efficient campus located on the Allegheny River.

April 23 – Free tree seedlings offered in Pittsburgh on Arbor Day – Tribune-Review

May 7 – Allderdice students plant trees in memory of Tree of Life victims – Tribune-Review

June 24 – Artist has fruitful residency at Tree Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

June 26 – Tree Pittsburgh branches out with artist residency – WESA

June 30 – North America’s largest moth, cecropia, at Tree Pittsburgh and elsewhere – Tribune-Review

July 4 – Art that grows awareness and appreciation for trees – Allegheny Front

September 19 – Tree Pittsburgh fights canopy loss with sapling giveaways – WESA’s The Confluence

October 4 – Nonprofit aims to restore Allegheny County’s tree canopy – Tribune-Review
